Get expert help when you need it.

Stuck on your workflow? Book a free 20-minute session with Paul Barnhurst (TheFP&AGuy) or one of our AI experts to help problem-solve. Bring whatever you're wrestling with, walk away with a clear next step.

Submit your workflow by July 15, 2026.

Make the shortlist, and you'll get to present your workflow live alongside Paul Barnhurst (TheFP&AGuy) to the global finance community.

What the judges are looking for

The best workflow isn't the flashiest one, it’s the one that makes a finance team’s life easier.

Watch the winners live.

We want workflows that address real finance headaches. If it solves a genuine bottleneck, you’re on the right track.

Impact

How many hours saved per week? What is the impact on accuracy? The best entries will have a clear before and after, even if just an estimate

Creativity

We want to see workflows that use AI in a way that makes you think, "Why wasn't this always done this way?"

FAQs

Do I need to build something new, or can I submit a workflow I've already built?

No, if you've already built something that solves a real finance problem, submit it, and our panel of judges will evaluate. There is no problem submitting retrospective ideas.

I work with sensitive financial data. How do I submit safely?

Anonymize it. Use dummy figures, hide the company name, redact whatever you need to. The judges are evaluating your workflow and approach, not your real numbers.

What tools can I use to build my workflow?

Any tool, and any combination of tools. ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, Make, Excel, Python, Notion - there are no restrictions.

Can I participate as a team?

Yes, teams are welcome. If your team is declared a winner, the value of the prize will be split among all members. For example, a two-person team winning 1st place would each receive a $550 voucher.

What do I need to submit?

In order to complete your submission, please submit a short Loom or screen recording showing your workflow in action, and a short written description of what your workflow does and the problem it solves.

What are the office hours sessions?

We understand AI may be unfamiliar territory for many finance professionals. Free 20-minute 1:1 sessions with Paul Barnhurst and other AI experts are available throughout the submission window for all registrants. Slots are limited, book early to secure yours.

Do you need to be located in the US to participate?

No, FinHack is open to participants globally. Anyone working in a finance role can register and submit.
